New Wrinkles Caused By Botox

capital Rome. The Grand Tour

An exhibition at the Museo del Corso in Rome

In 1734, under Pope Clement XII, opened the Capitoline Museums, the first public collection of history. Nearly forty years later, in 1771, but opened the Pio Clementino, wing of the Vatican Museums, perhaps the largest collection of antiquities in the world. Nestled between these two dates, is the contribution of Rome to the root of modern culture. The international laboratory inspired by the neo-classical artists, antique dealers, scholars, writers and rebuilt by a show hosted until March 6 in the new premises of the Museo del Corso: Rome and the ancient, reality and vision in the 700 by Carolina and Valter Curzi Brook. Review refined collecting masterpieces of Vanvitelli, Sandwiches, Mengs, David, Batoni, Canova, Valadier, Piranesi, and other players in a season all too often neglected.
The rediscovery of the classical, in fact, occurred in northern Europe, dictated by the need to develop an aesthetic Journal for the industrial bourgeoisie. And in Rome was the natural capital of antiquity imaginary, frigid and artificial revisited by the demands of modern taste, where marble and antique dealers did not hesitate to act on the findings to fold an abstract ideal of perfection rational in vogue in those years. A city that the editors give us an active protagonist of the eighteenth century - thanks to people such as Mengs and Winckelmann - and not just half of The Grand Tour
the exhibition makes clear that, for example, reconstructs the laboratory Cavaceppi Bartholomew, the sculptor service of Cardinal Albani, easy restorer who works to provide more European collectors. And the valuable essays in the catalog (nearly 500 pages, published by Skira), which reconstruct the stages of intellectual discovery of a classical ideal for to invade Europe: colorless statues, colonnades, milk-white faces geometrical, primary colors and straight lines and sharp. A closer look, so, at that time Rome became the capital of a true ideological operation, where the neoclassical bent, the originals no longer be distinguished from the false and ended up invading half of Europe. And where, to subdue the desired image collections, the museum Pio Clementino offered perhaps in adaptation between container and contents, the first example of modern museology.

Is It Common To Have Burning While Urinating

Burma, Cambodia and Thailand - from Jan. until March 2011

Abstract
January 12, 2011 - Based on our promise to alternate the period of "hibernation," a year camper and the next plane, from the middle 'of next January or so, we will begin a fascinating route of about 2000 km in the land of golden pagodas, the Burma, now called Myanmar , then taking off for the Cambodia and finally flying in Thailand .

The Myanmar , this sweet and gentle country where his people lived for years under military dictatorship un'inossidabile, exposed to long international embargo, it boasts one of the most 'fair and certain, Aung San Suu Kyi, a slender woman, Nobel Laureate peace, as the Nelson Mandela of Asia, which is fighting for democracy and freedom 'of this land.

After reading many other journals, guides, notes and anything else, the long visit to this country, along with Patrick and Richard, our feathered friends, we planned carefully enough, so that 'there allowed to touch the resorts 'more' famous and renowned, full of history, but also legends, which are located in the magnificent architecture of most 'beautiful pagodas in the world, too much covered in gold, reflecting the strong religiosity' that unites the Burmese Buddhist faith.

The other key factor that we considered to be predominant in these, as in other trips, and 'direct contact with people.
understand how they live, what they think .. In short .. look, as very difficult to identify with in their philosophy of life, so that 'we can get out more' rich and better prepared to understand the human joys and sufferings of others.

After visiting of this country, take off at a time of Cambodia to visit the temples of Angkor ,

majestic structures, still partly covered by thick vegetation of the Cambodian jungle, rediscovered after centuries of oblivion, and today considered one of the wonders of the world.
At the end of these "efforts", we'll fly again on the border of Malaysia and Thailand to rest on an island that already 'know and that is the magic
name Koh Lipe .
(.. here, then, we "relax")

will leave in a few days and trip should last for over a month and a half, hoping to be able to revive, even to those who will follow us, our own feelings .. and / or adventures .. who knows' ..

continue ... 'once they arrive in Myanmar ....
-------------------
February 1, 2011 - .. with the above phrase, we had finished the introduction, before leaving Italy, we think we can relive our trip and our emotions, even to friends who follow us.

are obliged to apologize, but within 14 days of tour in this wonderful country and wonderful people, unfortunately, we had calculated that in Burma, or what it's called now, in Myanmar, could there is a regime that has' so the world forum autoescluso (or have excluded?) to arrive addiritura to overshadow all the phones of all foreign tourists (all right, dumb! And for the whole country!) along with many websites, (including our Blog) as well as having connections, so slow (still analog?) that, at times, even in an hour you could read their mail, which, last but not least, it is considered wholly owned, both incoming and output.
really absurd ... but it 'just so'.

Since then it 's been this way ... that is' without the famous "live", we decided to write "Notes" section of this journey, on this blog, possibly accompanied by videos and photos, when you get home.

We are now in Cambodia to see the extensive and exciting remains of the Temples of Angkor, the famous archaeological site of Khmer Empire.
.. but we will speak of this later ...
----------
March 7, 2011 - At home from this long and fascinating tour, we try to tell our personal impressions and sensations, starting from the first leg of our journey: the
MYANMAR
(Yangon, the Shwedagon Pagoda impressive)

For several years, it was at the height of our desire for knowledge, especially for that aura of "mystery" surrounding it.

A country that, on the international stage, is characterized by unnatural "silence" Broken from time to time, the protests of Buddhist monks and especially for the unjust sentences imposed by the military regime of General Tan Swe, in his Nobel Prize, the slender, but at the same time "strong" figure of Aung San Suu Kyi, daughter of a hero of Burma, murdered several years ago, but still much loved and revered in their homeland.

The unique description, then, that about two years ago, it was made by a couple of friends from Piacenza, Federica and Milko, met on a beach in Thailand that, in turn, had visited the year before, was the typical straw that pushed us to schedule a visit.
The Myanmar, Thailand to the contrary, we believe, is not 'just a country to visit with the "do it yourself." Oh ... you might as well do, but the prevailing decay of facilities, inadequate roads and impassable in some areas even missing, the old stuff of his fleet, both private and public, unreliable and very long travel times means public, suggest that prior contact with a local operator that, given the low costs, prepares custom formulas with private van for 7 or 14 days, including hotel reservations and the auxiliary of a local expert guide.

The other alternative, albeit organized, and 'to move around the country will fly, as we have seen done in many.
We chose the "formula" custom van that, while "punishing" for mileage on a grueling and unimaginable dusty roads, in which to do 300 km, it took us 10 hours also, and it 'was exciting and rewarding, for the quantity 'and quality' of things and places visited.

Special thanks, goes to " Aung " our brilliant guide, prepared in Burma, there was able to lead, with skill and discretion, in many places, even outside the tourist circuit, making us understand and "appreciate" the genuine hospitality 'of his country, finally reserved an "unforgettable" surprise, among its people, in their birthplace.
In 14 days, we covered something like 2000 km from Yangon (former capital) to Inle Lake, Mandalay, Bagan in, with its extensive plains of golden pagodas, also touching other places' along the infinite and crumbling streets, charming and interesting, but more importantly, across countries, villages, markets, in close contact with people of different ethnicities, contemplating their faces, their clothes, their way of daily life, always smiling and willing to be photographed.
truly admirable in their dignified poverty '.

(In this video, some significant "terms" of faces Burmese)

Land in Yangon (formerly Rangoon), our great "Aung (ebbene. .. yes, ironically, also our guide, has the same name, the more 'famous "house"), exit the airport, there was already' waiting, waving, what it 'usual in cases where there is known, the typical paper with our names, for an immediate, mutual identification.

After the usual handshakes, we come together with the Van Toyota 7-seater car will be 'available to us throughout the long tour, the Hotel Panorama, and since it's almost 19, also sets the date for the dinner.

Three Fifteen minutes later, Aung, on time, we go to take him to the "Junior Duck", a typical Burmese restaurant on the Yangon River.

first impact with the Burmese cuisine, which despite being a mix of Indian, Chinese and Thai does not differ much from other typical dishes of Asian cuisine, according to which there is' no doubt the ubiquitous rice.

After dinner, we go for a stroll among the stalls of "China Town", between odors and tastes, in which our sense of smell, not accustomed to such "flavors", forced us, sometimes, to curl the nose ....
(among the "restaurants" in China Town)

The first news', after resting in the footsteps on the ground in Burma. . and 'fast: our cell phones, as if by magic, remain speechless! No signal is perceived by our equipment, and premises, of course, the more 'well-off, talking quietly with the "phone". Newly freed from slavery 'of the cell, we thought.
Actually 'this anachronistic regime, has seen fit to "obscure" systematically all mobile phones that use a Sim or not purchased in Burma, and 'more' correct to say, they have imposed their "frequency" that virtually no "dialogue" with the rest of the Sim the world (sic!).

The next morning, we left for the first stage: Bago, 80 km from Yangon, a city 'founded in 573 AD and was the capital of the Kingdom.
In this city 'you and' the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Zedi with a dome that reaches 114 meters.

There are other temples and a massive monument with a Buddha lying on its side, its length reaches 55 meters and less than 19 meters high.
